Stuffed shells

As the saice simmers, my whole house smells of this mouth watering aroma. I decided tonight to make the most requested dish tonight. A recipe that is quick and convient.

Stuffed Shells

1 box of jumbo shells

1.5- 2 pounds ground beef

1-2 jars of your favorite sauce or use a homemade recipe.

6 oz plain cream cheese

2 oz ricotta cheese

8 oz of shredded Italian blend cheese

Chopped parsley for garnish

Now for the magic…

Preheat the oven to 400

Cook the shells as instructed on the box.

Brown your meat and drain, I like to rinse mine of before returning to the pan.

Once cooked and drain, add 6oz of plain cream cheese and 2 oz of ricotta cheese. Let the cheese melt.

Once it’s melted and mixed well add you laddles of sauce about 1-2 cups.

Mix together and let it cook, in the meantime your shells should be done. Drain and let them sit while you cook the stuffing mixture a little.

Since I decided to make this with my homemade sauce, which I will share later. I laddled the sauce in the bottom of a 9×13 baking dish just enough to cover it.

Now begin stuffing your shells and layering them in the dish.

Once you have them stuffed and placed you can add more sauce on top. You may not use all the stuffing or shells. I sometimes drop the remainder stuffing on top before adding the sauce.

Add the 8 oz of shredded cheese to the top and bake for 10-12 mins until the cheese is melted.

Now since my better half likes mushrooms and I don’t and chopped some up and saute them before adding a little chopped parsley and shaved asiago cheese.

This recipe will be under the cooking tab of my site, without all the pictures.
